Lawn Care Program
1. Early Spring - Pre-emergent crabgrass control and fertilizer.
2. Late Spring - Pre-emergent crabgrass control and fertilizer. Weed and surface insect controls applied as needed.
3. Summer - Non burning fertilizer. Weed and surface insect controls applied as needed.
4. Early Fall - High potassium fertilizer. Weed and surface insect controls applied as needed.
Grub Proofing and Lime are available as optional applications and applied along with the above services to reduce cost. Grub Proofing applied in summer and Lime in spring.
Highlighting this program are two applications of crabgrass control in spring to increase protection against summer weeds. Fertilization includes the use of slow release nitrogen to reduce leaching and control growth along with a high amount of potassium to improve stress tolerance.
Other Options include fewer applications, reduced pesticides or organic fertilizer.
Additional Services
Core Aeration - A mechanical process by which cores of soil are pulled from the lawn every 3-4 inches. It is used to control thatch buildup, improve the movement of air and water into the soil and reduce compaction. This is an annual practice for most golf courses.
Slice Seeding - This machine slices rows into the soil and drops seed into them, similar to the methods used on turf farms. It can be used on bare soil or on existing lawns to introduce new grass.
Tick Control - These insects are well known to carry potentially dangerous diseases. Deer ticks in particular need to live where there is adequate moisture such as in leaf litter and mulch beds. Periodic spraying can help control their numbers.
Mosquito Control - Useful for special occasions (weddings, etc.), controls can reduce mosquito populations during outdoor activities.
Tree & Shrub Care Program
1. Early Spring - Horticultural oil, insect and disease controls.
2. Summer - Horticultural oil, insect and disease controls.
3. Late Summer - Horticultural oil, insect and disease controls.
4. Late Fall Fertilization - Deep root feeding following Nat. Arborist Assoc. standards. Increases winter hardiness and promotes proper growth.

Additional Services
Hemlock Adelgid Control - This insect has become a common problem for hemlock trees.It is recognizable as small cotton balls attached to the undersides of branches. Fortunately it can be controlled quite easily needing no more than one application per year.
Anti-Desiccants - This product is sprayed on vulnerable trees and shrubs to help protect them from winter injury.
Specialty Applications - Different problems may require different solutions. A wide array of products are available such as tree implants for insect control in situations where spraying is not an option.
